Core Principles

A Focus on Deep Work. Work can be either deep or shallow. Shallow work consists of business as usual tasks that can be performed amongst frequent distractions. Shallow work can also be the result of frequent distractions. Deep work, in contrast, requires the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively demanding task. Being able to perform deep work is a skill that allows a person to quickly master complicated information and produce better results in less time.

A Focus on theWhole Solution. Projekt Mercury is a design-driven company. My approach, and the essence of true “solution design,” reflects the integration of function, aesthetics, craft, quality, and the customer experience.

A Focus on Fluid Intelligence. Fluid intelligence is the capacity to learn and retain new information, then use that knowledge as a foundation for solving the next problem, learning the next skill, and so on. Fluid intelligence embraces continuous change.

A Focus on Simplicity. Albert Einstein is known for saying, Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler. At Projekt Mercury, we agree. A well-designed solution exudes simplicity.
